Hello!
first time member her and very new crossbow owner just picked up my Micro 355 the other day and have only fired it a few times so far.
I love the bow but the standard cocker aid handles are very small for my huge hands. So...I just ordered one of the DR 4x4 cockers on this review.
I read that someone posted about putting knots in the rope...may I ask what for?
I understand the "pinchpoint" thing and I think I'd be happy with the larger grips for my big hands but the knots in the rope have me confused?
Of course, I don't have mine in hand yet thus the "knot" confusion...so why the knots (there were no pictures to show this)
Just got my 4x4 Kocker in the mail yesterday and set it up right away...I like the quality and the color of the rope!
I matched the length of the factory cocker and tried it right away and this thing works as advertised! Love it!
Now waiting for my string changing rope to arrive so I can install the DB silencers too.
Question: how do you guys melt the ends of the rope without blackening the little melted part? I used a butane lighter and it turned the knots black...not a big issue but was just curious how to do it and keep the color...
Put the flame farther away and heat it slowly, soon as you see it melting remove heat and repeat. I havent tried on that particular rope but works on most others.

Thanks...I was thinking that anyway (common sense to use just the heat and not the flame)
I was going to drill my rope stringer with Paracord 550 but I got it thru smaller hole..I like the bright colors on anything because if you drop it in woods you can go back and find it....newbie is right hold flame back and it will not melt lump on end also...Very nice and expert folks on here for sure....
