Well I had to make just one vote so I voted fer the 525,,, a little light fer my heavy setup, but a little heavy fer my light setup,, I use a 542 grain arrow and use a 20 yard zero in the Mad Max, I shoot a 455 grain arrow with a 30 yard zero for my main hair with the Lynx late season when things open up a little

Well... Since Big John makes every single arrow I shoot, I guess I will simply have to defer to his Wisdom in this regard!

400 for me and my 380.

I also went with 400 gr. For bow liability and moderate speed . Shoot these in both my micro 335 and matrix 380 .

Mr. Miller sent me some Zombies and 100 gr. Slick Trick Mags. They weigh in at 400 to 402.0 grains. They are a Great combination between Exceptional speed and Accuracy, beyond belief, out of my M380. (Thanks Mr. Miller). I voted for 400 grains.

Depending on bow. My under 330 fps bows: 400; over 350 fps: 425.Having found that even my < 300 fps bows result in complete passthrough, I opt for a balance of enough KE and flatter trajectory to take some of the guesstimating out of my shots on game.

First of all I'd like to say Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and Excalibur crossbows. Just bought a Micro 335 and I'm really liking it so far. I've been reading different posts on arrow weight and lengths. Would I be better off to go with a heavier bolt so I could shoot a 100 grain broadhead? Is there any advantages other than a better selection of broadheads.Like I said I'm new to crossbows thank you for any input or advice

I voted 400 gn. but try for 415 +/-. The last BEEs I ordered from Danny Miller I ask for 110n points to get that threshold.

So are you guys buying 3-4 bolts in a few different weights and trying 100/125/150/175 field points on them and seeing which ones group the best?

Or is there some other way that you are testing different weights? I'm guessing there might be some kind of screw on weights out there that would do the same thing. Thanks!

I voted 425 even though my 18" BEE's w/ 110gr inserts, 3" vanes, Lumenok, and 125 Muzzys are in the 430-something range

I was told not to long ago that Excal had said that heavy weight arrows were stressing the Matrix n Micro limbs. That it also helped in the breaking of limbs? At what weight do y'all figure is too much stress fer the limbs? 375-400-425 ?
