I'll send it in for a replacement . Any one else have this happen ? I'm a new owner of an Excalibur my other xbow is a Barnett.

Don't need brakes or dampeners, would you please tell me what you had the brace Height set at, and ho many times did you shoot it without an arrow?? We need to know these things to try and help you.

Re: Limb fail
If your not new to crossbows, you will know that "strings will stretch when new". If you are new to crossbows, or if you did not know that strings will stretch, instructions from the forum (and other places) will tell you to maintain the proper brace height.vtnative2012 wrote:Came new in a sealed box .brace height was set for a new bow and I only shot 6 bolts. IF the brace height is not proper, you can get some problems. I have seen stores that do not maintain proper brace height. It is easy to fix at home.
In the last while, this forum has had more then a few posts from people (or person) that only want to tarnish the Excalibur Brand and promote a somewhat "iffy" make of bow. This is why some members on here say if you do not have pictures, it did not happen.
Please if you can give more details, include pictures, you will get more then enough help to get things correct.

Contact Excalibur service. Saying things like "Did I make a wrong choice" points to flaming a product. Your showing no proof and really there is no need to ask here if you made a bad choice. All here are happy with their choice and if there is a hiccup along the way we know to send it in for warranty work and it will get fixed. Why don't you start by introducing yourself first???robertyb wrote:vtnative2012 wrote:Came new in a sealed box .brace height was set for a new bow and I only shot 6 bolts. No BS ! Re: Limb fail
If you thought all you had to do is shoot it or any bow for that matter without checking specs, self inflicted problems happen all the time to shooters that think this, with any bow!! This is what I kinda suspected when you posted. This doesn't mean you won't get it taken care of you will. Excalibur will take care of you, but you need to understand just because the bow came in a box, does not mean it never needs maintenance, and periodic adjustment. You need to get a stringing aid, and maintain brace height. There are videos here on the Excalibur site to show you how to do that, but make no mistake maintenance is required for any bow made, Excalibur's is just a lot less and much easier than most!
