Re: Uncocking micro 335
What everyone has said X ten. Remember to do the exact thing each and every time. 1. Safety on. 2. REMOVE ARROW. 3. Check that arrow is removed. 4. Check arrow again. 5. De-cock CB.
I was in a tree stand once and started to de-cock my Nox and realized when the broad head started to penetrate my boot that I had forgot to remove the arrow. Lucky for me that my son was waiting for me on the ground & he was able to climb up and help me out.

I know someone who was not as lucky pinned his foot to the ground . Out of hunting for a while . I check at least 4 times .
Re: Uncocking micro 335
That is why you should not use really short arrows. Mine are long enough that my foot will hit them if left on the bow.hunter with MS wrote:I know someone who was not as lucky pinned his foot to the ground . Out of hunting for a while . I check at least 4 times .

I think all the answers are dead on. The Dr Stirrup kit makes it easier and more "fool" proof.

Re: Uncocking micro 335
New guy here and apologize for a question before a quality introduction.
How hard do you need to push down on the DFS to have it release.
My thought is that when i cocked it, I didnt pull it back far enough for the trigger to activate. And now that i am trying to decock it, the trigger does not appear to be holding it.
Thank you in advance.
By the way, my name is Allen and I am new to crossbows (if you could not tell)
Thanks

Re: Uncocking micro 335
Disregard my previous post.
I figured out i had not brought the string back far enough to be captured by the trigger.
All is well.

Happens quite often with the ADF and first time user. My boss had his bow cocked lock and loaded.... but the trigger would do anything. He was pissed! Had a lemon! Until I mentioned the Guardian lol.... anyway moving on, nothing to see here hahaha!

Make sure to hold on tight before you pull the trigger.

Watch the video. For years i just shot arrows into the ground or the target when I got home then finally tired it and was amazed how easy it was. I thought I would get my arm ripped off but it was very forgiving. I'm 6'3" 210lbs.

Just a warning, you will hear a loud crack or snap at the start when decocking just ignore it and slowly let the bow down.

Re: Uncocking micro 335
First time I did it I used rubberband to hold the ADF slide in for some reason I could not hold it in and squeeze trigger while holding cocking rope at same time..
Now thru doing it about 5 times I can hold adf in and decock it.
