Hunting is in our blood, it is our passion. Hunters are all like minded to an extent but its the fact that we are archers that makes us brothers.

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
I personally prefer 350 grain carbon fiber bolts with 150 grain fixed blade broad heads. It depends on the game I am hunting mostly and the time of year and weather. If It is cold or going after real big game I tend to go with a heavier aluminum bolt with a hundred grain mechanical broad head.

I use a 388 gr 2216 aluminum cut at 19 inchs out of my 380 Matrix. Thats total weight, arrow and 100 gr head of choice, I voted 400 gr which is actually the same arrow and head cut at 20 inchs. Chrono for 388gr setup is 378FPS.

Between 425-450
Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
425-450 grns @ 300-350fps is what works best for me out of my bows.

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
400 grain for my 310 and 425 for the 330.
I have only shot 2 arrows at 60 yards and they were 1/2 inch apart in the heart of my deer deer silhouette target.
Needless to say, I will never shoot at the same spot again even at 60 yards.

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
My crossbow draw weight is 240. I use Diablo-250 grains + VPA 3-blade 175 Grain Non-Vented 1 1/4″ Diameter = 425 total arrow weight. Should be around 331 FPS and 103 KE. I like large diameter wound hole and a solid arrowhead that's why i stick with 425 total arrow weight. Otherwise 400 would have been perfect, but can't compromised with vented arrowhead and less diameter cut hole.

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
I just bought the micro 335 and wasn't real thrilled with the quills. There not bad but not great either. Went to wyvern creations and picked up a dozen of the gold tip swift pros. 16.5 in,110 brass grain inserts with 100 grain tips. I believe around 390 grains.. I maybe a little off. Anyway shooting baseball size groups at 40 from a rest. New to crossbows but that will be good enough for now. If anybody has any better receipts for the micro I'm all ears like I said I'm a newbie!

After hunting South Africa this year I plan on sticking with the same arrow for Michigan deer.
18" Zombie
Lumenok
92gr brass insert
3.5" wrap
Blazer vanes
150gr or 175gr VPA 3 blade broadhead
Total build up weight...462gr (150gr VPA), 486gr (175gr VPA) with 20.4% and 21.8% FOC respectively.
These combos out of my M355 made two holes in three Impala, warthog, zebra, and Kudu. If it's not broke don't fix it. I've not chrono'd these out of my 355 but I'm guessing based on passed experience that they are somewhere between 310-325fps. I'd rather go heavy and have less noise/shock and stress on the bow than go light.
Not a fan of bullpup designs as the trigger linkage is always an issue. I really wish Excal would make a bow that has as good of balance as the 355, the power stroke of the M400-405, and the ability to throw a 475-500gr arrow at 380fps. Now that would be a magnum! And as flat shooting as all of those itty bitty 375gr arrows.
