I'm new at this but I figure I'd fair well with what Excaliber recommended and their ballistic chart. My accuracy exceeds anything I thought possible.

I'd like to formally request an HE broadhead for dirty work. (This is only a joke for those who get it)

PROPER BRACE HEIGHT ON THE BD400:

FROM A PREVIOUSLY POSTED THREAD:

I've read on here where Peter from Excalibur says 2" from the rail/riser connection will give you the fastest speed from the Bulldog..

You definitely want enough brace height to where the string is not sitting or pushing into the REDS... Most I believe prefer about an 1/8" - 1/4" off the bumpers..

Peter is correct. I've tested above, at and below.

Well, with all the goings on, I'm not hunting much this fall just yet. I decided to make me up some Ignitor Lighted Zombies with stripped off labels. With the added tail weight i decided to up the front too. I ended up with this combination, and shot at my inlaws place this morning to 50 yards, I'm liking it, and will hunt with this combination with my 355 Matrix.
16.75" Carbon length Black Eagle Zombie Slayer Shafts squared on both ends. Ingnitors in Green. 110 Grains in the snout, and Fusion Q2i 2.1" shield cut vanes, tipped with 125 grain Muzzy Trokars. 445 total grains, and they fly like darts.

I am using the stock Axiom (metal rail) and firebolt arrows, but am using NAP 100 grain thunderheads and 100 grain target points, with either the flemish dyna-flite or custom flemish strings.

20" GT Laser II
110G front insert
2" Bhoning Blazers
125g broadhead; NAP Spitfire

This combination produces a 424g arrow that has consistently demonstrated same hole accuracy at 40 yards, from a rest, regardless of broadhead.

This combination was recommended to me for my Exocet by Dan (Awshucks) back when I started with crossbows many moons ago. When he passed a crossbow library closed. Though I never had the opportunity to meet him in person I still miss his posts.
