The most usefull product I saw at the ATA. The Defuser.
Bar none, the most cool product I saw was the Defuser. While some here may not find it useful, it will be a godsend to people who might have their rope cocker get away or a compound bow that needs to be discharged. Just an awesome tool!

It looks like I might add the Defuser to my DeathStalker 380 soon enough.

If you are disabled to a point that decocking a bow is an issue, is it still expensive? While you might not be disabled or shall I say fully functional and you can easily decock your Excalibur, your post contributed nothing because of your last comment. It's severely obvious that if you are capable of decocking an Excalibur, this product is waste of money but some individal might find it useful . Sure, maybe even $70.00 isn't cheap to you, but if it adds to your safety, it's worth it. How do you put a price on safety?ArcheryAddict wrote:That is a great idea and would be sweet with a compound crossbow. But at $99.95 the sure ain't cheap!
So if $99.00 is way too expensive to you, carry on discharging your bow into a target when there's little to no light, but please don't discourage others who may find it a safer way to enjoy their hunt.
Sorry, I don't mean this to come across as an attack but I do think your comment on the price is fair to the company that brought a nice piece of safety equipment to the market. It takes huge dollars to bring new products io the market and these in ovations should be paid well for doing so.
Also, I went through a bit of trouble posting this because it's a nice product that I thought was priced well and I'm a bit dismayed with your last comment.

Don another good point for use of this . I have always wondered about the legality of discharging your bow into a target after legal shooting hours .

Believe me it is built like a tank and that runs the price up. Great product.ArcheryAddict wrote:That is a great idea and would be sweet with a compound crossbow. But at $99.95 the sure ain't cheap!
Re: The most usefull product I saw at the ATA. The Defuser.
Never thought of that Kevin. If you walk out after legal shooting time, you could be fined if you didn't take your discharge target.Doe Master wrote:Don another good point for use of this . I have always wondered about the legality of discharging your bow into a target after legal shooting hours .

....hey even if you buy one and don't use it for it's intended purpose....sure looks like it would come in handy as an expensive "back scratcher" or a scratcher for any hard to reach areas of one's person....and probably could be used to stir the soup if out at camp (that is unless you used it to scratch hard to reach areas of one's person )....just saying!

Not everyone would want or need one. Just like the cocking hand crank.
I bought the crankeroo when I shot my Exomax. I rarely used it. Now I have the Matrix 405, I use the crankeroo routinely.
Being cheap, I use the hand crank to take the bow off "cocked", as well as to cock the bow. For some with dexterity issues, that may present a problem. It's nice those folks would have another option.
