It's type 111. I got a complete lesson on the process. Very cool stuff.
The top of the mainframe is not of the high Polish finish but I'm very happy with the overall results...

It looks awesome Jeff. If the top of the rail isn't the high polish, try taking the edge of your fingernail and running it along the top of the rail. If it leaves a line, you've got a very fine grit emory board that'll devour your center serving and rope cocker hooks where they ride the rail. I learned this the hard way. Perhaps the shop I used has a different method than the one you used. Mine was acid bath, bead blasting, polishing then anodizing. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, your bow looks amazing. Just a heads up in case.

You're only paranoid if everyone isn't out to get you.

Thanks for the info Paul. If it's a serving eater I know where to send it...

If they only bead blast it prior to anodizing, it will eat servings as fast as Donald Trump changes his stories.

Funny, I agree that a black out bow looks the best. But I've asked Excalibur repetitively and always get the same answer, black bows do not sell. The Eclipse and the black Vixen are just 2 examples that come to mind. Funny, isn't it?
