Trophy Ridge xv530ir 1-5x30
Trophy Ridge xv530ir 1-5x30
I just purchased a Trophy Ridge xv530ir 1-5x30 for my micro335. From what I could find it’s made by Hawke, and similar to the XB30 Pro SR? Slightly different reticle. I’m hoping for better light gathering than the scope that came on my micro335, but mostly wanted the 5x magnification and illuminated reticle. I know if I turn the speed dial up to the fastest setting to get the 5x magnification it will not be set up for 30, 40, 50 yard increments. Just wondered if anyone else had used a scope like this one cranked up to 5x magnification just to get a larger target image. Also looking for feedback on this scope. Thanks for any feedback.

My suggestion is this, shoot the scope without going to maximum magnification & set it up with all the variable markers out to 50 yards. Then turn your magnification to full setting. Your 20 yard center reticle will not change, but the others will. Verify where they hit at the range using a tall target. You just might find very little change in POI based on your actual arrow weight. As far as Trophy Ridge Products, I like every one of them I have purchased, so you should be OK there in terms of quality.
Good Luck!
