Good Luck Everyone!
The sound of a harmonic mosquito chiming in my ear. hunting season is on in three weeks for me.
Can’t wait! Thanks Bug tamer and thermal cell.
If I waited until actual archery season, then it would be five weeks from tomorrow in Northern VA. But I can use my crossbow during the early anterless-only gun season that starts tomorrow. I'll be packing the boom stick tomorrow since I just completed defrosting the freezer and it is freshly empty and ready for service. I have the perfect place for the first thing that comes by without antlers or spots. I'm just hoping to stay dry, hydrated and not feed to many mosquitoes. It'll be mornings only this weekend. The afternoons will be well into the 80's which may limit movement.
Good luck to everyone this season. Be safe out there!

I just looked at the long range weather forecast for where I hunt (N.E. Missouri) and on our opening day (Sept 15) it projects a low of 45 and a high of 67. That will change many times before the day arrives but it would be an extraordinarily cool opener for us. Most of my preparation is done and I'll be out there 2 weeks from today.
September 29th in TX and October 1st in OK. My plan is to hunt with my daughter for the TX opener and head to OK Sunday afternoon to hunt opening day there.
