The swisscrossbow looks mighty interesting! ...until you hear the price! The design goes back to the similarly designed 4 wheel compound vert bows that first came out many years ago. Stick that limb design on a conventional stock without the cranking device and you would get one very compact affordable compound crossbow! 16 1/2 inch width! WOW!
..or could you imagine a slightly wider width with longer power stoke? I'd guess speeds approaching 500 fps!...maybe more! It only has an 8" power stroke now!
I too like the looks of that "Swissbow" before going with the excocet last year I shot Oneida bows for many many years and the look of this bow reminds me a bit of them.I would love to check one out at some time.
As far as the "backwords" bow goes it looks like the cams would have to be offset or crooked for the string to come back without dragging.

no more so than a conventional compound bow-its the riser that determines that
Am I right to assume that draw length is equal to the power stroke? If so the Swissbow could not be used in Ontario, at least for hunting. The minimum draw length for a crossbow in Ontario is just under 12".
A friend of mine has shot with the Twinbow II and he says that it's the greatest crossbow he has ever seen.
It seems to have a great performance and gives the word "compact" a new dimension.

Woody Williams.....For some reason, I doubt its capabilties. I see that being technology, that really never takes off in the market. But its nice seeing people being creative. The twin sure tlooks pretty exotic too, but it looks very difficult to maintain, it better come with a bag of tools.....LOL

It looks liek I would have to become a crossbow mechanic to shoot it.
