I haven't installed the scope, since I'm debating whether I'm going to replace it with a Hawke.
So no shooting until I do.
I'm really impressed with the package. Easy to assemble, with just one bolt, it's a breeze. The fit and finish is awesome, I love the camo. It balances very well.

Mine arrives tomorrow can't wait. I will give a report on it . After I sight it in then Bear hunting with it in September and deer and boar hunting in October. Maybe I might be the first to score with it but I doubt that.

What's the hole in the side of the rail for near the riser area?
I know I should buy one and find out for myself! Lol

Yes you really should, seeing is believing. It's an awesome package.
The hole is to receive a smooth cylindrical rod, that's drilled and tapped. The rod is inserted through the hole in the rail and used to connect the front end assembly to the rail using just one bolt. The bolt is inserted in through the front of the riser, and screws into the rod.
Look at the picture of it assembled and you'll see what I mean.
The rod is just behind the left REDS.

Looking at your scopeless bow, it reminds me that I wish that all Excalibur bows had a picatinny rail instead of weaver rail. I went to considerable expense to have the weaver system machined off and considerable effort to attach a picatinny rail. (I wanted to mount a high end military sight)
Nice looking bow you have there. Sorry for diverting the discussion.
