Upgrade question
I'm going to be retiring in a few weeks and plan on spending a lot more time in the deer stand this fall. I'm thinking that it's maybe time to upgrade the old Exomax. I'd like something smaller, lighter and more maneuverable. I'm not the kind of guy that needs the latest and greatest thing. I'm looking at a Matrix 380 and I'm wondering if that's a good upgrade as far as size and weight over the Exomax?
Thanks
Dave

Re: Upgrade question
Look at the Axe, a lot of bow for a great price honestly. You could get a great deal on a used Matrix 380, or any of them really. I think a Matrix 355 would be a sweet acquisition since you're used to that speed already, and it is manageable in terms of cocking effort.
Good Luck, and enjoy your time!

Re: Upgrade question
Lol ... I just bought a brand new in the box Exomax! I sold my new Bulldog 380 because it was too hard for me to cock! This new Exomax is perfect! Easy to cock and plenty of speed. I only hunt from blinds so the width doesn’t bother me. Good luck with your search!

Where can a guy in Canada buy the Axe Kryptek with the extra goodies? What do they mean by "dealer only"?xcaliber wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 7:44 pmLook at the Axe, a lot of bow for a great price honestly. Re: Upgrade question
Dave, I think it means you cannot buy it online at Excalibur. I got mine from Wyvern's Creations in NH, USA. One of the boys from Canada would have to help us here. Comfy Bear, Lou bought one, he's up in Canada. PM him, he would be happy to help you, and provide his knowledge on most models.

Re: Upgrade question
Okay. Gotcha. Thanks. I've got a local archery shop that has a pretty good inventory. I don't see if on their website but I don't think it's up to date. I'll have to stop in and have a look.xcaliber wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 9:29 pmDave, I think it means you cannot buy it online at Excalibur. I got mine from Wyvern's Creations in NH, USA. Re: Upgrade question
Dave, if they don't have it, they can get it I would think. It is worth the price in either model.

Re: Upgrade question
It seems like a great deal and it sounds like you guys are really liking yours. I really should get into a shop and check out the newer models. I've seen them on line but I haven't handled any of them. I've been content with my old Exomax and have killed plenty of deer with it but I think it's time to treat myself and get into something newer.

Dave, "dealer only" means that only "authorized dealers" carry it.xcaliber wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 9:29 pmDave, I think it means you cannot buy it online at Excalibur. Re: Upgrade question
Cool thanks. I'm going to check Antler River in Delaware first because their a lot closer to me. If they don't have it or can't get it I'll swing by The Nook and check it out there.

Re: Upgrade question
The 380 will be a good boost of speed over what you have now. I think it will be very reliable.
