Tick twister
Earlier in the year I believe it was Boo that posted about the Tic Twister tool for tic removal well I ordered 2 sets after his recommendation and sure enough now that hunting season has me prowling the woods I came home and found a Tic on the back of my neck.
Well the tool did its job and got the bugger out in one piece but I am always surprised at how hard you have to tug to get them out they must have barbs on the sucking parts dang vermin.

Re: Tick twister
Take a cotton ball, soak it with Hydrogen Peroxcide, hold on tick for 1 min.
tick will come off with very little effort ,
usually with little pressure of your thumbnail.
works every time.

Re: Tick twister
Qtip with any oil / lotion twirled around , and worked back and forth will work too.
Re: Tick twister
I realize the post is about a tool to remove ticks, but the best thing to do is to try to keep them off of you by treating clothing with permethrin. It's been discussed on here before, ever since I started treated clothing with it I have never had a tick on me while turkey or archery hunting.
If they somehow manage to get past the permethrin, then you will need to remove them by one of the methods being mentioned.

Re: Tick twister
It doesn't seem to have an odor when dry. It is deadly to cats while wet, but not to dogs, I don't believe it is harmful to humans if used as directed.
Re: Tick twister
Supposedly that is the worst thing to do. When you try and suffocate them they regurgitate their stomach contents into the blood stream, thus infecting the you if they have Lyme disease.papa bear1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 8:47 amTake a cotton ball, soak it with Hydroxen Peroxcide, hold on tick for 1 min.
