Suppressor 400 speed
Has anyone chronographed the Suppressor 400 with a 400 grain or heavier arrow?
Re: Suppressor 400 speed
I haven't heard of anyone with one, but East Hills Tromblays and Cabela's all have them already.
They are awesome, and a true test of my will power

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

I don't regret buying the axe a couple months back... But that was half way to a Suppressor400. And no bulldoging required lol

Re: Suppressor 400 speed
I saw a Youtube clip that showed 391 fps with the stock Proflight arrows using the stock setup. I have to admit, of the new models this one certainly has my interest. I'd be interested to see the speed with a 400+ grain arrow, and the speed with the SDS removed. If it hits 380fps with a hunting weight arrow with the SDS removed, I'll wear earplugs if the sound bothers me.
Since this thing has to be wound tight, I wonder if the SDS is a necessity for limb protection as much as sound deadening.

I'm 100% in the same boat. But I feel going heavier on the arrow and string will protect far more than the SDS kit ever wouldDuckHunt wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 12:54 pmI saw a Youtube clip that showed 391 fps with the stock Proflight arrows using the stock setup. Re: Suppressor 400 speed
If it really shoots that fast it has my interest. Not buying the first season until it has proven itself to be durable or if it comes with a set of spare limbs. Also would not be leaving al l the 'sound deadening' junk on it. Gotta be an extra pound or more on the little bow that I don't need. I do agree that it might be there more to tame the beast than to quiet it down so might not be an option.

Re: Suppressor 400 speed
That was always my thoughts with vertical bows. I'd rather use a heavier arrow setup with it's increased energy to quieten my bow than a lot of things stuck on my limbs and string.
