Getting the itch

Post by Robinsons Rebel »

It's a dang shame that deer season is still a full 3 months away. I'm already getting the itch to go hunting. I can only dream and practice so much! My wife can tell you that I believe in only two seasons " Hunting season and waiting for hunting season." I've gone over my camo, cleaned my guns and bows, tweaked my treestand, studied maps etc..... Whats a guy supposed to do??

I took up turkey hunting only to not go this spring due to the virus, and my health issues. We're lucky to have a boat, so summer is boating time weather permitting, and the then family time is tops. I sneak out to shoot in between with all the guns, and Excals. Before I know it it's deer season!

When one's got the itch, one's gotta scratch it. Some can do it on their own, while others need the help of others.

It’s only a little over six weeks and I’ll have the limbs bent back on the old Equinox... Aug 15!

It should only be around 98 degrees...

Disassemble your bow, inspect all the parts and put it back together with loctite where appropriate. Then shoot off hand only one shot at a distance further out than you normally take a hunting shot. Use this time to get your gear and yourself perfect. Trigger time is trigger time so practice with an air rifle, rimfire or crossbow.

Fish...hunt pigs...shoot pigs. Then go fishing again!
Repeat this process over and over until deer season gets here!

Or...come to Texas and hunt all kinds of "exotic critters"!!

Fish...hunt pigs...shoot pigs. Then go fishing again!!! Is it sinking in yet!!!!
