A 4” pipe and a couple fittings and you ratchet strap it to a tree. The bears will feed from it but they can’t break it. I had a 400 pounder trying to ruin mine...he managed to push and pull it a few inches but could not break into it try as he might.
If you want to PM me your email, I’ll send some pics of mine (and the big bear)

I hope you're not suggesting that Don do anything that is inhumane and illegal. I imagine that Don has ideas of his own. Although, breaking laws shouldn't be something a conscientious and lawful human-being would even dream of doing.Hi5 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:31 pmBoo
The solution is simple.
Don't limit yourself to one feeder. Set up another feeder, but in the second one use stuff that bears like, but doesn't draw in deer. Set it up a good distance from your first feeder.
I know you know what I'm referring to. I bet you know some people who have young children that could help out.

Re: Suggestion for a feeder
That looks good but expensive! But it won't take long for a few directional feeders to add up to that.

Yes Sir...
I found out by the time you buy enough of the ones that get damaged by a strong wind, you coulda had a good one, or two... or more!! Probably saved your self a few headaches along the way also. I run 4 feeders on 3 different places I hunt. I like to fill 'em and forget about 'em!!!
I don't have bears to worry about where I live, but big, ugly nasty hogs are another story!!
I wish you luck on whatever you decide to do!!

Re: Suggestion for a feeder
As you can see, this is a capsule feeder. It works off of an auger system. This is the 800lb model. And no...it doesn't weigh 800 pounds, it hold 800 pounds of feed. Corn or pellet!!
