Shed find

Post by fishon »

Hi all,
Just trying to figure the picture thing out a little more, and thought I would try the matching set of sheds I found on Jan 1 when out on the ATV.

P.S. I only saw this one once last year.

Hello,
Yeah, I was happy to find those sheds laying together.
I only saw that buck once during the rut and he was about 60 yards out but won't come any closer, I definetly recognize the rack.
He was actually the third biggest buck I saw this past season, the two really big ones are both eight pointers. It will be interesting to see what he turns into next years because I'm pretty sure this is a fairly young deer.
After we loose some snow I'm going to look for the antlers of the two very big eights.

Picture of a buck on the property where I work and his sheds that I picked up today in his bedding area.
I work for a defense contractor so no hunting just picture taking and shed searching.

Great pics. Not only a pic of the sheds but also the ex-owner.

What do you call those racks? To me the one looks like it came from a 10 point and the other from a 12 point. That would make the deer an 11 point. Am I counting right ?
