I see this as an educational opportunity about what a a string is supposed to look like and when its time to change it.. lol

Just imagine how many more are out there like this? :)

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

My scope ran out of adjustment, so I just bent the rail a little bit to give me some more clicks in the scope... :eusa-naughty:

Scary!! In my humble opinion he's a slacker. One very good friend of mine does similar things with his guns. He has over 20 guns and some are brand new or at least they used to be. Most look pretty bad now. As an example he left a beautiful Ruger 25-06 in his garage for many years. Living in Washington state you can imagine how it looks now. It's was covered in rust and the barrel is so dark you can't see the rifling. I shamed him into cleaning it was too late. Really bad pitting on all the metal. Very sad if you love guns as much as I do.

Oh my the best thing to do with that string is take it off, I'd be afraid it would break while cocking it back. I can honestly say I'm never seen a string and serving looks so bad. I'm glad you got the screws tightened back down but I still wouldn't shoot it

not everybody is mechanically minded. maybe he just didn't know any better. he needs to get ahold of a string maker. probably didn't have anybody show this to him.
