Sorry for your lost. They always take a little piece of your heart when they leave us. My wife says Boggie is our last one. She might be right because the pain is almost too much for me to deal with. But I wouldn't change a thing with any of my pups . I thank the Lord for the time I had with each one.

Sorry been there too many times.
Jeff you just have to owe up to yourself and be proud that you gave the furry critter a good happy life its out of your hands after that.
I lost a dog at that age and was heartbroken for months.
The only cure is to get another one and give a new one love that's the way that works for me we went without a dog for 3 months it was great being free from taking care of it ...but lt sure sucked when you came home and she wasn't there even more.. a new one cured that..take care. Dogs are just awsome wish they lived a lot longer for sure!

Jeff...
You have my deepest sympathy.
Nothing hurts like losing your best friend.

In my opinion Furbabies are one of the top creations by God. I am very sorry to see your Furbaby cross the Rainbow Bridge.

I know the feeling all to well. Put my beloved Bloodhound down last Friday. Everything I do around the house I miss him thinking he should be in my way ticking me off. 10 1/2 years old. Life span of a male bloodhound is 7 to 8 years old.

sorry for your loss. it's been about 3 1/2 yrs. since we had to put our newfies down, but I know they aren't comfortable anymore. We've had a lot of dogs over the years and have grieved at every loss.

Jeff I do not envy you one bit. But, you did what was best for Cali. The wife and I had to put down our Rocco and I explained to her that it is selfish to not let be free of pain. I still remember when the shots took hold that Rocco I swear smiled and went to sleep. You done good and your a damn good friend to let your friend go. Bless you.
