TRIGGER TECH QUESTION

TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
I have a curious question. I have purchased flemish strings from many string makers here for my Cub,which I really have not shot a lot during the course of time I have owned it.( less than 100 shots)I also outfitted my Cub with a trigger tech. I am a somewhat surprised to see my serving seperate already.I am always careful not to over cock my bow and let it down as gently as I can.I also apply Scorpion Venom to the rail often. So I am wondering for those of you that also employ a trigger tech on your set up,is it possible that I need to consider polishing the latches on the trigger?

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
You might also consider not using the scorpion venom. Products like this can cause the serving to slip. All you need is a good wax applied to the serving. I’d also send the trigger back to TT for polishing. I’ve never been happy with the condition of my latches from the factory and I’ve owned 2 TTs.

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
Danny Miller told me to just wipe the rail with wd40, wipe the rail dry, that's all. I have no problems.

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
If you start seeing fraying on your center serving when shooting you need to polish the latch that is causing it. A string with only a 100 shots on it should still look brand new.

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
Separation is not a wear issue. It is caused by a serving not on tight enough, a poor type of serving or a string that was untwisted prior to installation. When I send out a string I send it out with enough extra twist to compensate for some creep. I expressly warn the user not to unwind the string when installed. New strings are especially susceptible to separation if not enough wax is removed prior to serving. Your trigger, lube or anything else is not a factor in separation.

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
Is it just separated or are the fibers torn...even a little bit? I've had to polish both of my TTs to keep them from chewing servings on my MIcros

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
UPDATE
o
Well,my new trigger arrived after a little bit of a wait, due to lack of inventory. No big deal! So,,I proceeded to install it. After attaching my red lever to the new assembly,I slipped it into the trigger housing and fastened it into place, with trigger in the "fire" position,re-attatched the stock. Then,I went to pull back on the trigger lever, only to find that the front part of the red lever hit the front inside of the trigger housing ,it would only travel a tiny bi t??????? WTH?? I emailed TT pictures of the replacement trigger and a description of what the problem was.I don't know for sure if TT has different triggers for different model Ecal's,or what. They did not comment or speculate on what the nature of the problem was. So,,where it ended up,is that they are locating 'MY" trigger I sent back, look it over and polish the latches and send it back to me.
I am still curious as to what the problem is with the trigger they sent me and why it would not work.

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
Did you get another trigger lever? Can you post a picture of the trigger lever only. There are 2 trigger levers, one of them are swept forward.JUSTANUFF wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 3:53 pmUPDATE

Re: TRIGGER TECH QUESTION
I will attempt to take a picture, but out of town for a bit,,best as I can recall,,it is NOT the "swept" style..it's rather straight.
