I sure could of used a twinstrike bow tonight. The deer are running wild in my woods that they logged. It’s absolutely crazy now. I was walking out to sit in a felled tree and 4 deer are running around in the woods just north of me. So I sit down in my downed tree and at 4 pm 4 doe walk up,at 40yds and are browsing on twigs, I turn to get into a shooting position and right after I turn their direction 2 doe come walking by me at 30yds from the direction I was just at. I didn’t bother trying to turn because they’re going to see me. So I wait a awhile and now the 4 deer are walking my way, at 10yds I let the first doe have it, she was quartering towards me, she bolts at the hit and stops 50 yds away looking back, the other 3 deer now start walking by me , I have no time to recock. The deer I shot now walks west out of view. I walk over to check for blood and see her trail.
So my brother and I start trailing and trailing with good blood in the snow. She goes 1 1/2 miles and then starts back into our woods. I told. My brother and I will take up the trail in the morning. We we’re finding she was bedded and we kicked her up a few times. So now I have to wait till morning and I pray the yotesn don’t eat her. I really thought I’d find her tonight.
Quartering to shots are tricky. Most of the time you only get one lung or liver. Unfortunately if the deer made it 1.5 miles and didn't drop that doesn't look good...
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Hope you find her.
I won't ever take a quartering to shot again. Dec 30th I took a quartering to shot and the shoulder bone stopped my arrow. Even is snow the blood trail was sparse and almost and non existent after half a mile in snow. Note to myself!

This is my beef with the Twinstrike. What if you did that to 2 deer last night? You just don't know what happens on the shot sometimes. I feel bad for you and hope you find her this morning. I hate it when this happens to me....but it seems to be a part of bowhunting. At least you have snow and cold temps to help with the track. Down here in the heat you either find them that night, or it's over. Good Luck...

Good news, I found her this morning. I had good blood all the way to her in the snow. The yotes started to eat the guts and a little on the left side of her but I managed to get her cut up and still end up with a decent amount of meat. I won't take that shot ever again.

Good that you recovered the deer!
I wouldn't buy one, but did see a use for a twinstrike this year. I had just missed a buck and it ran a little and stopped still within range, WTH, can't try to grunt him back since the bow isn't loaded, stood up to cock the bow, he's still standing there, the second the latches clicked over and he heard it, he bolted and was off to the raced through the woods blowing like crazy.
