Retirement

Post by Excalibur Marketing Dude »

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everybody on here know the I will be retiring from Excalibur Crossbow on Friday June 14th. I've worked at Excalibur for 21 years and have seen a lot changes over my time and have spoken to a lot of people and to most of you at one time or another. I've enjoyed my time working for the best crossbow company in the world and I truly believe in our product and my blood is Excalibur blue and always will be. Retirement is a bit bitter sweet but I'm looking forward to my next chapter.

I remember the days when crossbows were not legal in most states and traveling around North America with Bill and Kath selling crossbows and educating people about them. We attended a crazy amount of trade shows and at times I felt like a road carny, but it was all worth it. I have worked with some of the best people in the industry and we couldn't have offered the customer service we do without them. The thing I'm going to miss most is my fellow employees who have become family.

A special thanks goes out to Dawn who has worked beside me for 21 years, we have been through a lot together. She even refers to me as her "work husband" Without Dawns help this job would have been a lot tougher and I truly appreciate all the hard work she has put in over the years. Dawn will continue to be a major member of our customer service team so you won't see anything change.

I also would like to welcome my replacement Kris Glaude to the team, he's a great guy and will do a good job of looking after the customer service department for the Excalibur brand. He's very enthusiastic about working at Excalibur Crossbow and I'm confident he will continue offer the great service you have all come to expect from us.

I would also like to thank all of you out there, without your dedication to the brand I would not have had a job. I always looked at our forum as our remote customer service department, your collective in-depth knowledge helped to answer crossbow owners questions so they didn't have to reach out to us which helped with our work load. Its amazing to have such a loyal bunch of owners and users out there.

I will continue to troll the forum as I am also an Excalibur user and have a pretty good size collection of crossbows that I will now have time to play with. Who knows, maybe I can get back out there an do a little hunting this season!

I wish you all well and feel free to reach out to me anytime!

Don't look up as you're leaving the building for the last time! The sun will be blindingly bright! I hope you get off that moped and get back on a BMW! :eusa-dance:
