Sad news

Post by R.J. »

It is with a sad heart that I bring this sad news to the forum .

Red Label , aka Mikey V. ( Mike Van Bommel ) . Passed away suddenly last night .

I will post more details of the funeral arrangements when they become available .

He has been busy lately with renovations etc. and hasn't been on the forum much lately , but many of you long time members knew him and he considered many of you his friends .

Again .... sorry for the sad news . His Wife asked me to contact some of his hunting brothers ......

Holy Smokes, I'm absolutely shocked. I'm still hoping that this is not true. Mike just told me recently that he'd come out hunting whitetail deer on our property, in fact he was coming out with you R.J.

Please give our condolences to his wife and kids. I would also like to know his address so my wife, kids and I can send the family a card or something.

Keep us posted R.J., which I know you will.

God Bless Mike.

It is a sad day for the Excalibur forum family, to have lost such a great person as Red Label.
I met Mike at the Excalibur open house, and right from the start he made you feel like he had know you forever.

My best to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Let us know if donations in his name are being accepted for a particular charity so that I may donate in his honour.

Regards,
Don
