Newbie needs advice on paradox

Post by tigertrout »

Hi guys

I am new to crossbow hunting but am a veteran bow hunter and am looking at purchasing a crossbow. A friend of a friend has a paradox, it has never been hunted and has only seen a couple of dozen shots at the target.

package includes:

paradox crossbow
vari zone scope package....quiver, string, arrows, 6 target and 6 broadheads, cocking aid, deck wax and whatever else came with that package.
also included is a padded carrying case that folds into a seat, 6 wasp broadheads and a target.

He wants $800 canadian funds.............is this a realistic price or should I hold out for a better deal????

thanks in advance for your time.

truth is, I would rather buy an exomax........or something comparable.

Welcome tigertrout!

$800 US or CDN? If it's US, it's definately high. That seems a little high for CDN too. Some of the other members might have a better idea. I payed less for a brand new Phoenix with most of what you said was included. Look up BJ in the forum and get a quote from him. Quite a few of us have purchased our xbows from him.

Good luck!

The price is a little high. Around $650-700 depending on condition would be my highest offer. I own a paradox as well and love it. It definitely is an excellent xbow. Digger would have a better idea on the paradox than me. Good luck with your purchase. -JR

By the way, welcome to the forum! :)
Stock Exomax and now a Micro 335. :)

That price does seem a little steep for a used Paradox. Should be between $600-$700. My Paradox with a custom stock and accesseries may be worth that or a little more.

Digger.

Hmm, I wanted a compound crossbow before, but then I figured Excalibur's recurve limbs would make things so much more simple.

I think I'm going with a vertical compound soon though..

GARYL

the axle-to-axle of mine are 28.75-29 inches. So with a 14.5 inch powerstroke, and very little limb travel their a mobile bow.........
