Do most people prefer the red dot scopes or the multi-reticle scope?

Batteries alway seem to go at the most inopertune times, I'll stick with a scope.

I had the problem of too many choices with the multi-reticle scope. I've missed more than one shot because I used the wrong yardage mark.
I decided to go with one aiming point, and found a red dot scope with 2X magnification. With the Exocet (300fps +/-) sighted in at 25 yards I'm in a 3" bullseye out to about 33 yards, which is about the absolute maximum I'd be shooting at deer anyway. Just put the dot on the center of the vitals and pull the trigger!

when i used to shoot a compound bow i started with 3 pens,confusing. went with 1 pen much better ,my first crossbow was a single crosshair scope ,very good ,,,,,,now i have a 1 dot ,red dot scope, i love it. just put a new battery in it everyear,when you change your smoke dector batterys, dont forget to turn it off .................every one has their own openion,,,,,,,,,this is mine. good luck..

I forgot to mention I always carry a spare battery for the red-dot. I simply put it under the foam in my quiver. The barreries have a long life, but forgetting to turn it off can run the battery down. It's very easy to replace, so with a spare in the quiver I don't have to worry about a dotless sight.
