Ok I am a new hunter, So don't know a lot about where to put up my tree stands..I was wondering if there was anyone in the Chatham-kent wallaceburg area that could come out to a bush I am allowed to hunt and scout it out with me.And give me some ideas on where to put up stands or where I could groud hunt. Thank you very much.

Not from your area, but keep in mind where the sun rises and sets. May not want the sun in your eyes. Also figure out where the wind is most of the time. Down here in bama, we usually have a NNW wind. Just my .02 cents worth. Good luck.

I would look for trails leading to and from crop fields(if they are there) and trails leading to and from beddding areas (thick growths of cedars or other tight, dry cover. Also, if water is nearby, look for sign there too. A lot of times there are heavy deer trails which follow creek edges.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!

Go out a day or two after it rains and see if you can see tracks in the mud where their trails are. Look for droppings, food sources, etc.
