If Gold Tip was truly concerned about their reputation they would discipline the people involved (Quality control/dealers for not paying attention) and fix you up no charge.
i doubt very much that the folks that "just work for goldtip" would take it upon themselves to cut up some full length light shafts that just happened to be in inventory...i'm sure there was some direction there...as far as quality control who knows...
ah, now let me see...if i had to weigh each shaft before it left the shop ..........that's 239 dozen X 12 = 2868 shafts (so far)...don't think i'd have the time, and if i did, i'm sure the price would have to reflect that...
- gold tip assures us that each shaft with a heat wrap sticker is now machine weighed...(obviously there is still going to be a few shafts out there, until this all gets weeded out..)they have said that they stand behind their product 110% and will replace any shafts that are defective (i think we've already seen them go beyond that in some cases...)
- think it's time to cut 'em a little slack here and move on from this issue...everytime someone comes up with a lone shaft, the whole apple cart gets upset once again...they said they made a mistake (that's more than what some companies will do), they agree to fix it, what more can we ask ???....let's let this thing die and move on (now if some shafts show up with the shrink wrap and are once again, out of spec

...........that's a different story...
