alternatives to an atv

i tell you one thing it is the best hunting in the world no trucks up and down roads no quads all over the place it is the most enjoyable hunt i am glad that there is no trucks allowed in the park .

next time out in the woods enjoy the quiet then wait for the cars and trucks to pass and then you will know what im talking about

yes i hunt park i am 23km inside park i am at clyde creek aproxamatly 5 km from hydro line .. i take the road in from elephant lake lodge and they have put a new road in that swings to the left . you go straight to kingscote and i go left and way north of you

Its hard to replace a A.T.V. I've got two, a big one for more power, and a smaller one for running around, light chores. On our property a quad is a must, lots of steep little hills, can't take a truck in to retrieve game.

If you need a little quad for deer, a Suzuki 250cc Ozark will do the trick, with a set of chains. For heavy slugging through mud, snow, hills, my 400cc Kawasaki Praire (KVF), works great.

Other than that, 3 or 4 close friends work, or a good scabboard for your back.

Chessy. Your at one of the registered hunt camps then. Cool, I always wondered how far north that road went. I stay in a cabin on Ball island(named after my buddies dad.) on Kingscot and we hunt the surrounding shores. Sometimes we see the guys from elephant lake Lodge but not often, other than that its just us and one other group on the lake.
We were 4 for 4 getting doe tags this year in 54 and I hear their's lots of deer around so it should be a pretty exciting hunt. However, Lots of bow hunting to do before then as were overrun by deer around here in S.ontario(aloud 6 extra tags were I hunt)

Now that come in real handy for moose hunting to get across them soggy marshes they love so much....
