Can I use 18" GT Bolts in my Phoenix?

Not looking for more speed but i woud like to keep my bolts from extending beyond the stir-up . Any thoughts on cutting them to 18"?

Ayep thats what I shoot from mine.... :D I also use the brass insert. Just make sure ya stay in the 350 total weight.... :D

Not sure of the 350 grain weight? I use the brass insert and 100 grain b-heads! Why is the same 350 grain min. used for a 175# Phoenix and 225# Exomax?

The 350gr total arrow weight is the required min. for all the Excaliburs xbows other then the 150lb Vixen. With the Vixen you can use a 325gr weight. Not sure about the Point Blanc I would have to check the spec's on that one.... :D

I wouldn't want to go below 350 grains for hunting anyway! I just don't understand how 2 crossbows with a 50# difference can have the same min.?

The Pheonix can use an 18 ich shaft but must maintain a 350 gr total weight. As Gary said only the Vixen can shoot 325 gr. bolts.

That's kinda along the line I was thinkin', but I might of said it a little different I think. :lol: :lol: :lol: Anyways, a 350grain is minimum, but heavier arrows are quieter in the heavier poundages, and they hit harder, too.
