Barnett quad 400

Hi there, i am based in the UK and have just bought a Barnett quad 400. Has anyone on here ever used one and any feedback on performance would be most welcome.

Although it is illegal over here

i do intend to travel abroad in order to hunt using it

I think it's an ok xbow. Very powerful, but it has a harder trigger than an Excalibur.

I haven't shot the 400 but have a 300 and it actually has a better trigger than my excaliber does, and shoots a little bit faster.

Good Luck.I sold mine after it blew a cable and string in my face after only a few shots.Luckly I was not hurt and luckly I purchased my Exocet with the good advice of the guys at my local bow shop. I also sold my Horton. Excalibur is the only way!

i have a neighbor that has one and he killed a big doe with it this year, but he says he likes my excal better. good luck with it!

Thanks guys for the reponses, i will keep an eye out on the cable issue!!! Will keep you posted on any successes i have with it - or for that matter any problems.
