how long can one leave a xbow strung..............
I always take the string off my Phoenix if I'm not planning to shoot within the next few days. I store my bow in my shop/garage and it is not heated or air conditioned and can get pretty warm in the summer.
My buddy built a new shop/garage last winter. He also stored his Phoenix (strung all the time) in his un-heated un-air conditioned building.
This past weekend we shot our bows to check things out before season gets here.
At 25 yards his first shot was dead-on! Leads me to believe the limbs had suffered no loss of strength at all from remaining strung.
I may re-think my policy of un-stringing.

I left mine strung all the time. Shooting Boo strings now, but when I was using FFF, I would put enough twists in a new one so it sat about 3/8" above high mark, then let the bow sit over night cocked. Seemed to eliminate a few adjustments due to stretch, w/ no adverse results. Might be a good time to remind the newer guys you can carry a "pre-stretched" spare by putting a bread tie so loops stay twisted the same while off the bow and in your hunting pack.
