Having been through 4 dryfires - total or partial - with both on, and no ill effects on either bow, I'm keeping em both.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

Some people including me like to carry lighter equipment into the field for a day of hunting. I have removed many ounces from my Equininox and Vortex to achieve a noticable weight loss.. Thats just my preference. Even at a athletic 6'4" and #225 I still prefer to carry light weight overall.
X2 for this comment. Preference or what feels right to each person is a big part of this thread. The Equinox and Exomag come with DB and S5 as standard. Maybe these high draw weight xbow need both. I put S5 on my Vortex for added dry fire protection and eliminating the hunt for sweet spot. No dry fire yet but the day is probably coming.
