With over 3,000 shots and counting, and numerous kills to date, all with ZERO issues whatsoever, I'd consider my 380 to be Quite "Reliable".
Reliable as in something you would recommend to own in a foreign country with limited support maybe :) I posted a thread about importing one to my country and was advised by most the 405,380 and 335 are not the best idea. So whatever quality they had in mind is what I am referring to.

There was a way to make the speed bows as 'reliable' as the vixen/exomax era, going big, but they have gone another route, more compact and trying to get more power to boot. I can't argue with the market of course, if that's what folks wanted.

Missed that thread - likely was up when I was offshore...

Personally I would have NO hesitation recommending the 380 Matrix to anyone in your position. Based entirely upon my own hand's on experience of course. While I realize a handful of others have had the odd issue, that is far from what I have seen with this bow.

I am Damn Tough on equipment. And the conditions I hunt in range from searing heat, steady rain (I live in a "rain forest" after all) to well below sub-zero temperatures (mainland BC late archery seasons). The 380 has met and exceeded my expectations under all of these conditions, and continues to do so today. For me, it is the "Perfect" Hunting Bow, really shines at the target range too, and I am entirely unlikely to trade it for anything else.

In short, if you are seeking Reliable and Powerful performance, I would suggest seriously considering the 380. In my personal experience, this bow well meets the criteria you are seeking.

Cheers,
Nog

I would tend to agree with noggin!
I shot and tested a 380 quite a bit.
No issues. But, I am now wishing to have a bow even more trustworthy,,,,,,,, but not available!
I want a 355 Matrix done in Mad Max Camo!
Front to back, every part camo!!!
I would jump on that in a heart beat! :D
