Thanks Lou for the warm welcome, I will be there tomorrow morning and my neighbour would also like to attend (he is one of the owners of the camp with Carl in Dunchurch which we hunt at). I actually stopped by a friends place last night who bow hunts as well for a quick "crossbow 101" lesson. He sighted in my bow for me at 20 & 30 yards and said it it shooting very well. Then the moment I had been waiting for the "rookie" steps up somewhat nervously, lines up his scope on the target, removes his safety, squeezes the tigger and tick, a decent shot to to vital organs on his practice doe target. What a huge adrenaline rush.
I am still floored and amazed by the power and accuracy of my new investment, I'm so glad I bought an Excalibur. I ended up staying for about an hour and shot about another 30 times from between 20-40 yards. I can't wait to practice the next 2 months and am looking forward to participating in my first bow hunt once season opens. Thanks again guys for posting all you great tips and advice and look forward to meeting some of you tomorrow.
Mark
