I want to buy a new string for the Phoenix. (Back up)
What is the best way to go-Flemish or the Excel.
I will be heading over to the Local Bass Pro this weekend.
Will it do damage to the disapator bars if it gets to far out of range?
Sorry if i missed this in a previous post.

Re: Strings
What do you mean by too far out of range?Broadhead wrote:I want to buy a new string for the Phoenix. (Back up)

I would by with the Flemish type string, much quiter. I bought a Fast Flight Flemish string yesterday and so far I like it.
TYE, The string has stretched since i bought it. (probably 50-75-shots)
Its now about 1/2in in front of the "Line". I did not get the stringer when i
bought it..."Brain Fart"
I did not want to keep shooting it if there was a chance for damage. I will
be buying the stringer when i get another string.
Love my Phoenix!
Thanks

I don't have a stringer either, I string my crossbows by hand.Broadhead wrote:TYE, The string has stretched since i bought it. (probably 50-75-shots)

I have an Excel string on the Vixen, and I have an Excel string, and a Dacron Flemish string for the Phoenix, and right now I have a Fast Flight Flemish string on the Phoenix.
I'm really liking the FFF string, except the stretching part at first is a pain in the butt.
If you should let it stretch much more, it would be more ware and tear on your DP Pads. I would not use it in-till your twist up the string.
If you want, untill you either twist up the string or get a stringer rope, take off the DP Pads as you can safely shoot with out them.

Always learning!!
