After they left I filled the feeder and climbed up in my new ladder stand. I hauled the Phoenix up, and sat back to see if a squirrel would show. I had only been there a minute or two when I noticed movement in the field next to the food plot.

Here came three small bucks to munch on the clover, soy beans, and turnip salad bar. I got several pics, but won't try to post too many. Here's two of them at around 30 yards.

Not great racks, but I'd take the meat any day!

The closest one came was about 20 yards. Of course I never did see a squirrel, but I felt like it was a pretty good evening anyway. When I was ready to come home I did shoot the HTM blunt tipped arrow I had loaded at a small leaf where the one buck was when he was closest. Of course I nailed the leaf to the ground!
