Saw this one advertised in a catalog I received today and had to look into the details a bit further. I have a GPS with all the maps, etc., but sometimes something easy & simple to operate has it's advantages. http://www.bushnell.com/gps/gps_backtrack.cfm
Stores 3 locations, and simply points toward a selected location & tell you the distance to that point. Looks like it will be small enough to carry easily (the site doesn't give the specs on size, but judging from pics in the catalog it looks to be around 3" diameter), and simple to operate.
Plus, I ordered from OpticsPlanet and got a free ($24.95 value) backup sensor/alarm to put on my car/truck. http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-gp ... 5QodKXD7ug
My kind of GPS...I'm still trying to understand the multiple commands and modes for my first one. But, it can save 500 waypoints If I could only remember what they are.
wabi I was also looking into buying one, I like the fact that it is small and simple to use. I only need a GPS with three way points.
Way point 1: were I left the truck.
Way point 2: were the down game is.
Way point 3: Now that I am getting older the most important one of all
were the heck is my house.

I wonder:
Do they tell you where the nearest bathroom is?
A feature for all crossbow hunters with swelling prostates!
Grizz, since when do guys worry about using a bathroom when they're out in the woods?

I was thinking more along the lines of the long truck rides that I commonly find myself on ... believe me, when you live in the boonies like I do, drink coffee like I do, and have a small bladder ... you "have your spots" along the way!
