short vanes on bolts

Post by muzzler »

I recently lost the fletch off of one of my bolts. Can I refletch them with those short 2" vanes that I still have from my compound bow arrows??? I think they are called blazer vanes.

Welcome. By all means, Blazers work great for me on both Excals and compound CB.

Welcome!!!!!!!
I tried the 2" Blazers a few years ago. After testing them with broadheads I decided they would be all I use in the future! They work great on crossbow arrows, and look good, too!

Welcome!

I found that the Blazers work best with some offset. Straight doesn't fair well on the short vanes, especially if you are shooting a fixed blade.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.
