Dissipator Bars on a Vixen

Post by Chubb »

So.. Should i shell out the 30 bucks for the dissipator bars? I know some of you guys took them off and others use a whole STS system what are the real world hunting benefits of having them??

One more thing, i like the fixed peep sight that the bow comes with. Is there a more advanced peep and pin sight that i can put on the Vixen that will let me sight it in in farther ranges?

Thanks

I would have to say (personal opinion only) the HUNTING benefits are near zero.
You will never quiet a crossbow enough to shoot without game hearing it.

The only benefit might be a slight increase in accuracy if the noise disturbs you. (Like wearing hearing protectors when shooting a handgun.)
