Your thoughts on a 2117 with110 brass insert and 100 Gr, tip, blazer vanes
shot from phoenix using dynafight FFstring, do you think,this may be too
much over all weight, thanks johnbuck

MATE SOME OF MY BOLTS ARE ALUMINIUN EASTERN 2219 & WEIGH 490 GRAINS, SO NO WORRIES AT ALL, BUT MOSTLEY I USE FIREBOLTS WEIGHING 430 GRAINS LOADED & YOU QUITE OFTEN HERE OF PEOPLE USING BOLTS WEIGHING 500 + BY THE WAY WHAT ARE YOURS WEIGHING IN AT. REGARDS FRANK

mine are are 512 with wraps and 5 inch vanes i think ive told you with the 2217 and 2216 which weigh the same the walla and diameter are diff but weigh the same im like 33 grains lighter , i dont think you need that heavy brass insert, but wouldnt hurt it man youd have some wicked k e coming out with 100 grain inserts and 2117 you probably be 580 grains depending on vanes or head i also use white wraps i shoot thee out of an exomax

Hi Frank,
My 2117's with 110 brass inserts and 100 gr tips fletched with 2" blazers and a golttip flat nock at 20" weigh in at 496.

Naw ain't no such thing as too much arrow weight, :lol: When i want to put a deer down on the spot i shoot 620 gr arrows through both shoulders using Miss Vixen
