Twilite Delux scope??
Anybody have this unit yet? With a 44mm objective and a 30mm tube it should be a very bright scope in fading light I would think?

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
I upraded to the DLX from the Lumi and see the improvement in the field. The DLX has a large field of view, has good clarity and low light performance. I would not hesitate to put one on my Y25 or my wifes Vortex.

Yeah, I've got one. Pretty good scope from what I can tell so far. Haven't really had a chance to "test" it on critters in low light. Works good in daylight though.

You know how hard it is to find 30mm steel rings, low height, with a Weaver style base?? I like to never found any! Every place I checked they "could get them", but were out of stock!enormous wrote:Don't forget the 30 mm rings.

I like Midway, and have gotten quite a few things from them, but I try to buy as much stuff as I can at small local shops. I finally found a set, but not before checking and calling about 10 places.

What kind of steel rings did you get I am planing on upgrading my lumi zone next year to a Twlight or hawk scope and prefer steel rings myself.

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
The ones I finally found were Weaver rings, but I know Leupold makes some also. I think Millet (sp?) also makes low, steel, 30mm Weaver style rings.

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
I replaced my Excalibur aluminum rings with the steel Millet rings for my Lumi zone and like them very much cranked them tight and no change of p.o.i all season.

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
He asked about the scope not the rings???
Re: Twilite Delux scope??
But the scope isn't going to be worth a crap without a good set of rings, so they pretty much go hand in hand. 1" rings are pretty common. 30mm rings are a different story. If he's considering getting the scope, he needs to know about the rings as well.Bones wrote:He asked about the scope not the rings???

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
I fully understand the issues with 30mm scope tubes. I own several scoped rifles. What I want to hear about is how the scope performs and compares to regular 1 inch crossbow scopes ? A 30mm tube and 44mm objective is a design that lends itself to better light gathering, thats what I am curious about also how effective are the reticles?

Re: Twilite Delux scope??
I would think that having the 44 mm objective lens and 30 mm tube it should be brighter than the XB 30 hawke scope . However I have been informed that there is more to it than just size . The design of the scope itself and the quality / type of the coatings on the lens play a big factor .
Has anyone seen or heard of a side by side comparison / evaluation ??
