just like moose -- car accidents
never good when a big mature elk gets hit by a car doing 50- 60 mph

I've bumped a few animals in my time, but that is nasty. Though both are dead, the elk won that encounter. Hope no one got hurt.

Going to fast ..In elk areas you have to drive slower and most know elk are there or signs..

Spect they were bookin too fast in that crossin area. I don't go over 40 mph on this paved road that comes to n from town at nite

We had person we put up deer crossing signs so folks would slow down to 40 mph.Person from city called the PGC and said she was mad that they were making rt120 into deer crossing.She said she could hit one of those deer..

I agree , they should put the signs up by where the traffic is slower - where the kids cross ,at the school zone 1

we had a lady on national news wanting to know why they put up the elk crossing signs
"why do they put up the sign so close to town ? why not put it up farther away so the elk will cross away from town where its safer?
