You get what you pay for

I got an xbow to see what the fuss was all about. A Barnett Rhino. Not too bad but after reading on here what you can get with one I got an Exomax.
Don't even think about 20yds shots at the same spot. Well 30 either for that matter. I'm glueing some vanes back on right now. I know all of this is old news to a lot on here but that thing is absolutely amazing. I wasn't planning on hunting with one this year but I'm hitting the woods with that baby just to see what it will do.

Another success story
BTW - be sure to check your nocks for damage, too! I've had a nicked nock cut the string serving after I came close to a robin-hood.

Both. Bought the Rhino first and then got the Exomax. Ready to put the Rhino on Ebay! LOL

Yep. Still a 40 yard weapon or so. To me it's easier than a compound. A lot easier. But I've don't have to prove anything to anyone. I did all I ever wanted to do with a compound. I see it as an alternative and probably the next evolution of bow hunting. To compounds as they were to recurves. VA dumped muzzle loader into archery a few years ago. So why limit myself during the rut? Most everyone (all except me) is hunting with a ML then anyway. I don't see a big anti group posting on the new ML guns with 150+ yard range. Xbows are to shooting an arrow as the new ML are to 50 cal bullets. Why is it ok for them but not us?

I think if more people tried one instead of just being against them it would change. They're here so why fight it? What's the point of being the last to get on board? Also there is a certain amount of pleasure one gets from shooting a well made piece of machinery.
