HOWDY FOLKS...
My name is Bud Fields. I am from Galveston, Indiana and I am about to become a crossbow user. I am NOT new to bowhunting deer. I started bowhunting in 1964 and I have taken 238 whitetail deer with bowhunting equipment , 93 with a muzzleloader and 1 with a Dodge Ram truck...
Due to some physical injuries and corrective surgeries, I can NO LONGER execute the shot process without enduring pain. I do NOT want to risk making a BAD hit on a deer.
My doctors suggested I consider switching over to a crossbow IF I wanted to continue my archery hunting. This "getting older" really sucks BUT IT BEATS THE ALTERNATIVE!!
I have consulted with Mr. Bill Troubridge of Excalibur Crossbows and he has given me some FANTASTIC and MUCH APPRECIATED suggestions and insight on helping me with my consideration of what I need for getting started. I am TRULY excited and anxious to get my new Excalibur Phoenix so I can get out there and sart my NEW career as a crossbow hunter.
I am the outdoor columnist for the Kokomo Perspective newspaper in Kokomo, Indiana and I am getting ready to start composing an article about crossbow hunting and featuring EXCALIBUR CROSSBOWS.

Welcome to the forum Bud! You will like the people on here. I am a wheelchair person - paralysed from nipples down and also cannot use a regular bow, so I also have a Phoenix with a crank-a-roo and love it. You will be amazed with the accuracy!
Once again WELCOME
Once again WELCOME

Glad to have you here.
Very impressive kill record.
I am still in single digits.
You have made a GREAT choice in a crossbow
There are many here that can give you better advice than I considering your limitations so I will just say welcome and if there is anything I can do to help you in the future dont hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to reading your posts.

Bud . . .welcome!! You are the envy of our forum! Taking on average of 7+ deer per year(did I do that math right?), wow! Your hunting resume is awesome. Could of done without that auto kill, eh?
We will offer you all the advice in the crossbow world, but, I do believe, it will be us looking to you for hunting advice!
Congrats on finding your way to a great crossbow. Forget the injuries, sometimes things turn out for the best. You will wish you had been injured sooner after taking your first crossbow kill.
We'll be looking for you in the trophy room.
