The second you put the claim on a bow that it wont dry-fire you become liable if it does, I don't see it happening from Excalibur any time soon.
The basic function of an Excalibur is it's simplicity.
It is best just to put an arrow in it, that makes for a pretty good anti dry fire system.

me to raymond, very happy. it was just a thought though, however there are many changers to come in the long term future l believe we'll all have with excalibur crossbows, make no mistake of that. but l'm sure they'll be for the good of us all & the company in time...regards frank

My take on items like auto-safeties and anti-dry mechanisms is that they add to the cost of manufacturing and insurance as well as add reliability issues to a pretty well flawless machine.

just get you a dacron string that helps in case of a commom mistake that almost all crossbow shooters make , but please do not change anything about the mechanics !!!!!!
Re: anti dry-fire system for excalibur crossbows.
I believe Bill T. has commented he feels it's not really necessary on Excaliburs in past discussions on the subject.
They are tough enough to withstand a dry-fire in most cases, and it would just be adding another mechanical device to fail or complicate things.
I like the keep it simple approach, and those few members who have damaged limbs with a dry-fire have had the limbs replaced under warranty, I believe.

Re: anti dry-fire system for excalibur crossbows.
I own an excalibur exocet and love it, and also own a older horton hunter and a ten point the later two have these devices on them and I have never seen them malfunction in any way. If you were to do a search on here just on dryfires you would find many many posts from members that it has happend to, now I am not saying excalibur should put these devices on their crossbows but I for one would not be against it

I agree...don't think they need it...but it is a selling point for some, and it wouldn't change anything for me the end user. Oh, except that I couldn't dry-fire that isM&M wrote:I own an excalibur exocet and love it, and also own a older horton hunter and a ten point the later two have these devices on them and I have never seen them malfunction in any way.
