I got in the Doghouse Blind at 5:45 as it was just starting to gray up. I had just sat down and I heard one Gobble 100 yds. out to my Right, then 200 yds. to my left. Talk about being happy. I waited awhile then gave some real low tree yelps and they exploded all around me. Hens and Gobs. By 6:45 there were 8 Hens and 4 Longbeards within 30 yards.
I had trouble picking out the best one as the underbrush near the field edge is growing fast.
I couldnt get the best one but do believe I got the 2nd biggest one of the bunch Beardwise.
He had 1 1/8 inch Spurs and a Ten inch Beard and would guess 22-23#
I pulled out my 1100 that has been in the back of the Safe for 10-12 years instead of using the 870. Used Federal Premium #5 Shot.
I posted some pictures from the Trail Cam about a week and a half ago and wabi said I had to post the after picture too.
