Re: Tip post
Check all screws to make sure nothing is loose and keep your crossbow clean and dry.
Re: Tip post
Take some time to practice shooting 'weak hand'. I harvested my first crossbow deer this year & it came in over my right shoulder at about 10 yards. I'm right handed, so I felt I had no choice but to switch to shoot as a leftie because rotating my body or standing up would have made noise & at that distance I believe it would have sent the deer bounding off to safety...
I admit, it felt quite akward and I did have a bit of trouble locating the deer in the scope, but it worked! If I had practiced a little shooting as a leftie, it would have felt more natural.
Cheers

Re: Tip post
When practicing, always double check to make sure you loaded an arrow before releasing the safety.
If you encounter any problems with your crossbow that you cant solve, always consult the Excalibur Forum for great advice.

X2 on making sure you remove your arrow before uncocking
I got a hole in the boot and a cut toe .
Dont think it cant happen.

Re: Tip post
When target shooting don't hang cocking rope around your neck. Had a hook get tangled in the string and it was not a pretty sight. Massive blood and I even still have the smashed plastic handle that broke on my baby finger.

A 5gr increase in arrow weight will drop arrow speed by 1fps and a 5gr drop in arrow weight will increase arrow speed by 1fps.
