Was out shooting today and noticed both the reds are split. I have only had the 380 sense Christmas and only shot mayb 50 shots out of it. I always store it with the cocker rope on so if the string stretches it dosen't lay on them. I have kept the string about a 1/8" off the pads like they said at the dealer. My question is there a better upgrade for these or a way to make them last longer I see Wyvern's has what they call Matrix suppression system by Horizontal Archery for half the price of the Reds. Has anyone tried these
Thanks for any help
Charlie

My strings I keep 1/4 inch off the REDS and I ground 1/3 of the ball off and I have a few hundred shots or so with no splits or any kind of damage ...I also twist the rubber every 20-25 shots to keep from hitting the same spot all the time.

Thanks Swamp Donkey I am out playing now so I am going to ajust the string up and I have been rotating them. I have been looking around for just the rubber ends but I can't find them so I guess you have to buy the whole reds set up again

Danny Miller sells a set of string stoppers for the Matrix series bows that he calls"Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers"! They work great, are priced much less than REDS and the pads last much longer. Phone only, no internet.740-483-2312
