Just a reminder for everyone -- new and experienced shooters alike -- to check your arrows regularly for damage: stress cracks-especially right behind the front insert, signs of splintering, anything that doesn't look right. I had an arrow break on my 380 as I took the shot. Thank goodness no damage was done to me or the bow, but it could have been bad. Check your gear!

Yikes! glad your fine and the bow. Also if I may add to check not just the bolts but the whole thing. Limbs, strings, bolts, broad heads, target tips, fletching and the stock make sure everything is tight. I had a friend injured by is compound bow because of carelessness. Rust built up around the pulleys and string snapped across his arm. wax your strings regularly and replace every couple of years, at least I do anyways.
Cool pics by the way.
please keep safe.

seems like a good thing to watch, the carbons have a tough reputation, they won't bend....but they can get messed up, everytime i retrieve my arrows i look them over and tighten the field points. i had one take a jolt and snap in half, i never noticed a crack but it was a wake up call to keep eyes open, good to hear you didn't suffer any harm. rf

Scary thing KB. Glad you're alright and no one got hurt. Thanks for the reminder.

don't shoot below 10 yards
at that distance a machete is good enough
I shot a squirrel at 12 yards with my 380 and my zombie exploded on the tree, expensive squirrel even though it finished in my plate.
